‘Online Reincarnation of JIST and Unveiling of TOXOCON-10’

It has been a couple of years since the new Editorial Team, comprising Dr Kusa Kumar Shaha and Dr Ambika Prasad Patra took charge of the Journal of Indian Society of Toxicology (JIST), and they have been doing a tremendous jobof maintaining its reputation as one of the best peer reviewed journals on medical toxicology in India. It was in June 2005 that the first issue of JIST was released, and since then it has grown steadily to become one of the most respected and widely read toxicology journals of this country. We have come a long way since inception, and the subscription base has expanded to the point where almost every major medical college subscribes it regularly. I am confident that Dr Shaha and Dr Patra will ensure that JIST continues to maintain its legendary regularity and punctuality of publication, as well as the high quality of content.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that JIST is now making an entry into online mode with regard to paper submission, review process, and acceptance/revision/rejection by having a dedicated a website created. Details will be furnished during TOXOCON-10, which brings me to the other item of good news before this year ends.
